Hilarity Reigns at HCAF in August

August 07, 2017

The game’s afoot at the Hill Country Arts Center from August 11th through August 26th. Join us for some way out-of-the-ordinary performances of "Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery." Ken Ludwig (from “Lend Me a Tenor” and “Moon over Buffalo”) has lent his comedic genius to remaking “The Hound of the Baskervilles” and the result is an audience-pleasing, hilarious version of the story. The Conan Doyle classic has been nipped, tucked, and mercilessly lampooned as five gifted actors play more than 40 different characters.

The setting is the legendary Baskerville Hall and the dark and mysterious moor that surrounds it. Deceit, disguises, and silly accents abound as Holmes and Watson try to keep the Baskerville family curse from dispatching the latest heir. So, grab your deerstalkers and make your way to the indoor theater at the HCAF on Fridays and Saturdays for 7:30 p.m. performances, or Sunday, August 20th at 2:00 p.m. for the matinee.
