Get Familiar with Fredericksburg

October 01, 2018

The Texas Hill Country offers up many gifts to its guests and visitors – breathtaking scenery, friendly folks, and some of the country’s most impressive and unique attractions. There’s so much to see and do that it’s easy to feel a tad overwhelmed. With that in mind, we have a few suggestions for a nearby jaunt to Fredericksburg. This friendly town offers an abundance of activities that will please almost everyone. For oenophiles, Fredericksburg has some of the best wineries in the state, most of which are happy to offer tours and tastings.

If you’re more of a brews hound, then make the Fredericksburg Brewing Company one of your preferred stops. Did you know that Admiral Chester Nimitz was a native of Fredericksburg? Admiral Nimitz played a key role in the battles of World War II, and a stop in at the National Museum of the Pacific War provides a fascinating look at the era’s history. A final stop at Enchanted Rock State Park for a picnic and some magnificent views is the ideal way to wind down, and send you on your way back with a fresh perspective.
